Peru is a special destination that attracts visitors from all over the world for its history, culture, architecture, gastronomy, tradition and mysticism. But one of the main characteristics of the country is its welcoming and friendly people that love to share their culture with visitors. You will be able to know some of them and enjoy Peru´s surroundings during 8 days that will take you to Sacred Valleys, archeological sites, colonial buildings, restaurants, local markets and many more, that will show you the essence of the country.


Day 1


A transportation service will wait for your arrival at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will be accompanied by a guide who will inform you about the attractions the city has to offer and assist you along the way.

Day 2


Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to Ichimay Wari, an artisan neighborhood in Lurin, 30 minutes south of Lima. Here you will have a talk immigration of artisans from Ayacucho, in the Peruvian Andes, to Lima and you will learn about the traditional and modern techniques that these artisans use for the elaboration of their ceramics and textiles. 

After this, you will be transferred to a little-known hacienda, where you will experience ancestral customs, links with the Inca past and the incomparable Peruvian Paso horse and you will enjoy a delicious lunch along with the show.

Day 3


Today you will go on a biking tour that includes stops at emblematic spots in the city as well as stops to try delicious typical food. During the morning, you will arrive at Lima Bici to receive your bikes. The tour departs from Kennedy Park in Miraflores and heads to Surquillo´s ¨Mercado 1¨ for a tasting of exotic fruits or fresh fruit juice in the market. From there, you will bike to the Miraflores beachfront from where you will have an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean. You will then head towards Larcomar, a mall built on a cliff that overlooks the sea. The next stop will be at Lima´s most bohemian and artistic district: Barranco, a district filled with art galleries, bars, boutiques and restaurants. You will stop at the traditional ¨Puente de los Suspiros¨ or Bridge of Sighs, a wooden bridge built in 1876 that has been the favourite spot of couples for more than a century. From there, you will head to Barranco´s City Hall to begin the gastronomic tour at ¨Huariques¨; name given to small restaurants that keep the essence and the original flavors of Peruvian cuisine. This tour includes traditional Peruvian dishes like Ceviche, Causa, Ají de Gallina. Lomo Saltado, organic cake, Picarones and craft beer. After this, you will head back to Lima Bici, where the biking journey ends.

Day 4


After breakfast, a transportation service will pick you up from your hotel at the established time and will transfer you to the airport of Lima. At your arrival, you will be transferred from Cusco Airport to your selected hotel. A representative will assist you during the journey and check-in at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will start the tour visiting the traditional and bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, residence of artists and craftsmen. Discover its streets, between bars, shops and art galleries. Feel the vibes of the artisans’ neighborhood, by learning how to make and play your own Andean instrument. Put yourself in the hands of an expert local musician.

After the workshop, you will visit the market of San Pedro, which has a lot of stalls selling local products such as different varieties of potatoes, traditional Andean food, flowers, among many others.

Day 5


Breakfast at the hotel. You will start your day with a visit to Sacsayhuamán, a magnificent building conceived and built by Inca Pachacútec in the 15th century, The Sacsayhuamán complex was built with megalithic blocks, the transportation and erection of which continue to be a fascinating mystery. The Inti Raymi Festival, which worships the Sun, is reenacted on June 24 of each year, during the winter solstice.

Then you will be transferred to the Andean Textile Center “Q’aytu Kausay”, it has a farm of South American camelids and showroom of textiles, where local families show the entire traditional process of weaving and making garments and work daily to maintain alive the local textile tradition.

From here you will continue to the Sacred Valley towards Huilloc, 9 km from Ollantaytambo (3,500 m.a.s.l.). This is a community of 200 families and a total of 1,500 inhabitants. The principal activity of the men is farming, and in the dry season they work as porters on the Inca Trail. The women help with daily activities and preserve their unique and ancient tradition of weaving fabric of the highest quality, which they sell to travelers visiting their community. Huilloc is a unique experience of living culture.

Day 6


Breakfast with the local family.

Today, perform a traditional Inca practice called Kusi Runa, in which you will participate in a day of Chakra (agriculture). A local interpreter will welcome you and guide you to the house of the owner of the Chakra, who will invite you a muña infusion. Symbolically be an integral part of the community, and as a community member you will be dressed with typical clothes of Huilloc (ponchos for men and blankets for women) and use traditional tools. Males will do farming while the women cook for them with local organic products, ending in a spiritual ritual with local music and dance. Therefore, you will have an excellent opportunity to live and experience the everyday way of seeing and acting of the Andean Runa (male).

After lunch with the community, you will visit Ollantaytambo, making a series of stops at points of interest. The Ollantaytambo town, a typical example of the urban planning of the Incas, whose residents still live in accordance with their old traditions. Pachacútec conquered the town, destroyed it and built a new one, absorbing it as part of his empire. It exhibits one of the most remarkable complexes of the Inca Empire.

After the tour, you will be transferred to the train station and begin your trip to Machu Picchu. Upon your arrival to the town of Aguas Calientes, you will transferred to your hotel.

Day 7


Breakfast at the hotel.

Aguas Calientes, is also known as "Machu Picchu Pueblo" and is the last stop before the entrance to the most important archaeological site in Peru. In Aguas Calientes you can see the train station, a crafts market, restaurants and accommodation of different categories for those who prefer to spend the night at the foot of the mountain and climb it early. After a short transfer by bus, you will reach Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that is believed served as a sanctuary and retreat for the Inca Pachacutec. Machu Picchu, which means "Old Mountain", is considered a World Heritage by UNESCO and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Once in the citadel you may optionally also visit the Inti punku (Sun Gate), the Wayna Picchu (subject to space availability) and the Inca Bridge. After the tour, enjoy lunch at Ayasqa Machu Picchu Restaurant in Aguas Calientes.

Finally, you will be transferred to the train station and return to Cusco.

A transportation service and guide will pick you up from your hotel at the established time and transfer you to the airport.
